Cougars News · Alumni Update – Baseball / Softball

With the Professional baseball season underway and College baseball and Softball also well into their seasons we felt it was time to have a quick update on several KHS softball and baseball alumni and their progress.

First is softball alumni Claire Chernosky, she has played in 22 of the 38 games her team has had this season and currently has a .216/.373/.717 BA/SLG/OPS for the year with 1 HR and 6 RBI.  She also just won player of the week for her conference and has started at 3rd base for the last 11 straight games

Noah Huerta is next he currently has only appeared in one game in early February, and if this continues he will probably redshirt to keep his full 4 years of eligibility.

Jeremiah McCollum is at Flordia  A&M and has appeared in 14 games as a reliever, has a 3.46 ERA with a 2-2 Record and 7 saves to lead the team.

And Simeon Woods Richardson made his second start for the Columbia Fireflies today and went 3 innings of shutout baseball, allowing 2 hits and striking out 2 with zero walks.  For the season his ERA is 3.86 with 6K
