Kempner Team Tennis Gets Started!

Kempner Varsity Team played well at the Pasadena Varsity Tennis Tournament on Friday, February 7, 2020. FBISD JV Dual-a-thon Tournament Wraps up Kempner Tennis Fall Season!

                    On Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, Kempner hosted the FBISD JV Dual-a-thon Tournament. Cougars were up against Elsik and Dulles. We lost 15-4 to Elsik in the cold and sprinkles and then went on to lose a very close one to Dulles 10-9 in the afternoon. It was

Varsity Tennis vs. Clements

On Tuesday, Varsity Tennis lost to Clements, 0-19. It was a hard loss but our Coogs played their best against a tough team. This is the last Varsity game for Fall/Winter Team Tennis. They will be working hard to learn and improve during the off season. Looking forward to seeing more tennis from these players in the Spring!

Kempner Varsity Tennis at Travis

After a tough day on the courts, Kempner Varsity lost to Travis 16-3 on Tuesday afternoon. Doubles matches were won by Alex Nguyen/Clark Baird and Rishi Vora/Steven Vargas. The lone singles winner was Rishi Vora.  

Kempner Varsity Tennis vs. Dulles

Kempner Tennis has had a very busy week! Due to all the rain last week, the Varsity game vs. Dulles was rescheduled to this Wednesday giving them back to back games. Fighting through the afternoon humidity, they had another tough loss, 1-18 to Dulles. Steven Vargas was the big winner for Kempner. Way to go Steven and way to go

Kempner Varsity Tennis vs. Austin

Thankfully no rain or lightning delays during Tuesday’s game against Austin. Kempner Varsity fought hard but came up short against Austin, 1-18. Freshman, Grace Hoang, was the winning match for Kempner. We lost some close ones in tiebreakers. Keep up the awesome team spirit! Go Coogs!

Mother Nature vs. Varsity Tennis

Once again, Mother Nature was not our friend during the Varsity vs. Elkins game. Delayed due to some serious lightning, we were able to play through all of the doubles matches and a few singles matches before getting completely rained out. Exciting Win for Kempner Varsity Tennis!

It was an exciting win (10-9) for Kempner Varsity Tennis team today as they competed against Bush HS. Varsity boys really showed up by winning all three of their doubles matches and all but one of their singles! Way to go Coogs!     Good luck to our JV Team on Thursday!
